Chase DelMar Kearl oral history, 1964.

In this interview C. DelMar Kearl discusses his personal history and observations of the New York State sugar beet industry. Topics include: his experiences as a youth thinning and topping sugar beets in Utah; his reasons for negatively assessing the economic feasibility of growing sugar beets in New York and his perspective on the reaction this negative assessment received from the agricultural, business, and academic community and from the AMERICAN AGRICULTURIST; and his impressions of Paul Aron, Henry Stack, and W. Keith Kennedy.
